Pressure Point To Make Someone Fall Asleep

CMA History + Three lessons to learn from

and again demonstrates that the Paws of government always produce big disasters.

founders Mexicana Airlines were not Mexicans, but three young American entrepreneurs who came to our country with big dreams. Wanted to start a big business aviation to provide postal services, packaging and transportation of passengers. It was not easy to license the revolutionary government after a heavy and complicated ordeal were allowed in 1921 to create "AIR TRANSPORTATION COMPANY MEXICANA SL" nationalism was at its peak and had to accept the entry of Mexican shareholders who knew little about aviation, but could deal with the political class, they saw a dim view of foreigners and especially Americans.

The development of the aviation company was amazing despite the reticence of Mexican short-sighted and that they feared new investments. The time came when the Americans bought the shares of Mexican and allied with other aviation companies also showed strength. Thus, the Compania Mexicana de Aviation (CMA) is internationalized in conjunction with Pan American Airways. But this alliance did nothing raised tempers Mexican nationalist revolutionaries. They could not accept that a foreign owned company so successful in national soil, with traps, threats and cunning managed to banish the Americans in 1968. In effect, they bought all the shares. And how not to sell, if they did could be nationalized by the government "for reasons of public utility" as had been done with oil, electricity, railways. The old pioneers of this company had to return to America with his teeth clenched with rage. Shortly
lasted them a taste for Mexican business owners the most important aviation Latin America. Not learned to manage and less than 10 years and was virtually destroyed. Not only was the low capacity of the Mexican business, but began to emerge unions for flight attendants and then the pilot asked that every day more and more features spurred by Marxist leftists.
In 1982 the Mexican government bailout to becoming the largest shareholder, another big mistake. Enter the state bureaucracy with "big ideas" as to build a majestic building in the colony Narvarte "to solid samples." The same government encourages state-owned enterprise unionism in this to win votes and ensure the permanence of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI). Continues to increase the benefits to unionized workers, the employer (government) grants with ease, after all, are supported by the State. Virtually no fuel cost the company PEMEX is the gift for, and open routes with little demand. Sometimes the planes were empty, but gave good image of progress under the leadership of the Institutional Party. Salinas de Gortari to change a little time and decided to return (privatization) to the enterprise at the hands of private enterprise. But who would want to buy a company full of vices, artificiality and full of corruption? Havre Group is encouraged and the first opportunity to get rid of this bug to pass to Posada Group, who's also now holds.

"survive this monstrous white elephant? Lesson
. Mexico
If a foreigner comes to entrepreneurial dreams, never stop, let it fly, without envy or outdated nationalism, because if you do it yourself and many people who could suffer a setback leave benefit. In fact, what if you are Mexican or foreign owner of a company, it is important that good services.

second lesson. Again and again demonstrates that the Paws of government always produce big disasters. It is impossible for a bureaucrat to make good business decisions, being which is a simple government employee who risks nothing if the company fails. In other words, only the owner has the ability to make good decisions.
Third lesson. Allow the existence of unions in an enterprise is a guarantee for failure. Trade unionism is a face of fascism. With the compelling force of leaders and workers can get benefits that lead to unsustainable future insolvency of any company. Any worker has the right to seek the best price for their work, but must be alone with no compulsive force, no unions, negotiating one by one, ie working pattern without interference by third parties. If no agreement, either, of Otherwise, that everyone look elsewhere.

Therefore, to give chance to survive Mexicana, the first thing to do, by the workers is to declare an immediate and unilateral disappearance of all unions within the company. No more bargaining, no more interference from other unions such SME, STUNAM or political leftists. Allow the owner to negotiate directly with the employee, if agreed, is and if not, goodbye without further ado.
The owner can invite workers to become shareholders, so that if the company wins, they win as co-owners, in part they belong. Indeed, Grupo Posada offered them a burden and not wanted to take. Because they recognize the services that charge and that their hands would not last long alive.
Finally, in no way should allow the government to bail Mexicana Airlines, have even one percent of the shares. Taxpayers do not have to bear a burden that is not theirs.
After all, if it does disappear, like other large companies have disappeared (remember AEROFLOT) flight attendants, pilots and ground staff will be absorbed by other airlines that will keep the market had the CMA. Hopefully other companies
Private and government (including public universities) to learn and begin to soak the beard.

Logitic Eye Usb Camera Driver

Mexicana withdrawal Vatican

The century of the global multipolar very sick to the first institution with a global history of mankind, the doubly ancient Catholic Church. His diplomacy was the most subtle and able of the known world.
visible His head and head of state, the most influential and prestigious. Although Stalin sarcastically asked for the number of armored divisions of Vatican, his heirs bit the dust first in Poland and then elsewhere in the Communist bloc by the grace, among others, the Pope's most militant and media of the twentieth century, was Karol Wojtyla. But after so great a show of force, the lessons of humility that is receiving official Catholicism and the hierarchy can not be bitter.
internationally
Rome is back on all fronts, which need not be beneficial for the international balance and even less for multilateralism. The Vatican has commitments and letters to play in the Middle East, but its weakness in many cases it unable to act effectively. The situation of Christian communities of the Arab and Muslim world, persecuted and even depleted in some countries, is becoming more dramatic.

The Vatican, however, seems more concerned and more active by the crucifixes in the European public schools for the protection of his flock in that part of the world. Islamophobic
The temptation is so strong as dangerous to official Catholicism. Vaticanists ideologues pose the relationship with Islam in terms of a competition to maintain hegemony in the world and especially in Europe. In a defensive position very close to the idea of a clash of civilizations. Kickback occurs not only by the sometimes violent pressure of radical Islam. It also takes place peacefully in Latin America, increasingly penetrated by the Anglo-Saxon Christian sects.

In this context, there is no doubt that the scandal of pedophile priests is more corrosive to the prestige, finances and even the confidence of the Church hierarchy itself. The eruption of the scandal in the Catholic Belgium, with the arrest for a few hours of the entire bishops' conference and the court ordered desecration of the graves of two cardinals, promises to be a terrible saga of unpredictable consequences. A Supreme Court ruling American diplomatic immunity rejecting the church authorities, including Pope has given the green light to all types of financial claims and even criminal at the time of accountability and compensation for the pedophile to the entire chain of command. As background, the nasty case of Marcial Maciel, the founder of the Legionaries of Christ, whose biography just came out in Spain, finished putting the entire church hierarchy in an impossible situation.

A 83-year old theologian is stale and shabby chairs institution. The once brilliant intellectuals and diplomats church have disappeared, replaced by gray bureaucrats incapable of understanding the world in which they live and ready, however, to cover up the worst and most evil crimes of their priests. With few exceptions, the European Christian Democrat parties, so well translated in terms of political influence the interests of the Catholic community have been replaced by stas populi parties.
The intense media planetary projection of the Church under Pope Wojtyla has resulted now in the dark and depressing stage of the recent history of the Church and papacy in a great difficulty in adapting to the new global world.

Chihuahua was controlled by Amado Carrillo Fuentes and Rafael Aguilar Guajardo. Mcgregor compadre was Lupercio Serratos, one of its main customers of jewelry.
In early 1986, McGregor met Amado Carrillo Fuentes in Guadalajara. That is what the commander of the Highway Patrol Fernando Ramírez, in the presence of Lucio Bridge Commander, stationed in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

Imposed a siege on his house in Cuernavaca, and told him to surrender for his sake and his family, under which was a proceeding pending against him related to the military operation had escaped.

I requested an interview with Amado Carrillo, a prisoner at the Southern Prison in Mexico City. Mcgregor

En esa ocasión, Mcgregor se dio cuenta de la rivalidad that existed between Lupercio Serratos and Aguilar Guajardo for control of the Juarez cartel. Mcgregor Lupercio asked to speak with his friend Aguilar Guajardo, a jeweler who told him that his brother was almost Lupercio, so that should smooth things over.
Lupercio Serratos and Aguilar Guajardo limaron their differences and became friends, even compadres in late 1991. To coexistence in which he named the eldest of Lupercio came Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who was already free, accompanied by the commander of the Federal Judicial Police, José Luis Patiño Esquivel, manager of the Plaza de Ciudad Juárez, and his brother Victor Patino, along with Javier Gomez heads the security guard of the Lord of Heaven, with 40 gunmen who carried guns and short.

Minutes later came to Coral Beach to vacate hotel rooms, take your luggage and return to the Cancun airport, where they noticed that the plane of Amado Carrillo was no longer. After traveling on a commercial flight to scale in Mexico City and then to Guadalajara, and there with their wives to Manzanillo, Colima, to spend a few days off in a house of Aguilar Guajardo, located in the division Santiago, next to Las Hadas. Later, he was in agreement with his friend to be in three days in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, as McGregor went to the house of Pedro Lupercio, located in Colonia Campestre, where the two departed for the house of Aguilar Guajardo, which is located in the same neighborhood where he was already Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who talked about the trip to New York and jewelry.

At that time, he turned to sell another batch of fine jewelry to his friend Pedro Lupercio Serratos, at a cost of $ 3 million, which were not covered at that time. Lupercio promised to pay until February 1993. On arrival date, both went to eat, taking intoxicating drinks and drugs. Discussed by the jewels. Mcgregor mind you Lupercio mother accused him of stealing and threatened to kill him.
On January 29, 1993, the wives of both interceded to be reconciled. Lupercio Serratos sent Galvan Ignacio Chávez, his partner in drug trafficking activities, to bring to the restaurant Mcgregor Highlander, where they had agreed to pay him the debt.
Along the way, aboard a Dodge Ram 1993 model, red, manned by Mcgregor, along Avenida Patria in the city of Guadalajara, several gunmen on board Cheyenne pick up vehicles, Cavalier and Century and then sprayed with AK47, goat horns. Mcgregor immediately ducked and was able to get out alive, but not Chávez Galván.
After the bombing, McGregor moved to Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, to meet with Rafael Aguilar Guajardo and Amado Carillo, asking them to intercede on their behalf and talk to Lupercio Serratos, who insisted on depriving of life. I wanted to reach an agreement and pay him his money. The interview was conducted at the restaurant El Rodeo, owned by Amado Carrillo and Aguilar Guajardo, who immediately contacted Lupercio and told him to come to terms with the jeweler.
against Amado Carrillo Aguilar Guajardo
On that occasion, Mcgregor realized that there were differences between Aguilar Guajardo and Amado Carrillo, because when they contacted Pedro Lupercio told him they were going to send someone to fix the stupid things I did. Mcgregor
Juarez remained four days. Back at the restaurant El Rodeo, along with Rafael Aguilar Guajardo, one of those days as six in the afternoon, was Amado Carrillo, who by signing Rafael Aguilar told him to go to him at a distance of 8 meters from the table where he was. McGregor noted that Rafael and Amado argued, by the gestures that were either one or the other, and that Aguilar Guajardo slapped Amado Carrillo, who immediately turned around and left the place along with his bodyguard.
Following these events, communicated with Peter Mcgregor Lupercio in Guadalajara, who said he had no problems with it, the only thing that is asked not to speak ill of each other and that the money would pay for the jewels, the Pedro which fully respected, because on several occasions had the opportunity to kill him.
Shortly after, Rafael Aguilar Guajardo knew had been murdered in Cancun, Quintana Roo, on 12 April 1993, Amado Carrillo Fuentes ordered the murder. Mcgregor
then went to Mexico City where he boarded a plane to Cancun for a vacation with his wife and children. He stayed three days and returned to the starting point, you stayed at the Fiesta Americana hotel from the airport. At that time, the hotel was in transition and change of ownership in the audit process. McGregor had a safe with jewelry, where he also found 500 grams of cocaine. After learned that the commander had Esquivel Victor Patino, who has served as chief operating officer of the Federal Judicial Police.
For that fact, spent two months in the Middle Prison, charged with drug crimes, for which he was acquitted. On January 3, 1994, Major Javier Gomez put him in his home in San Bernardo Street number 1990 in San Bernardo Fractionation, Zapopan, Jalisco, 150 grams of cocaine, which was recorded and transferred to the Detention the city of Guadalajara, where he spent nine months. He was acquitted in September of that year. He knew he was because he gave money and tend traps. Leaving the Prison
, Amado Carrillo sought, through his sister Martha Carrillo Fuentes, who told him that the Lord of Heaven was in Cuernavaca, which then communicate with him. They agreed to meet. Amado sent his plane to Guadalajara, where he traveled with his family to Cuernavaca. The gunmen picked Amado and taken to the ranch in La Luz, in the municipality of Tecatitlán near the airport, where he met his beloved wife Sonia and Javier, his brother.
were escorted by 50 people, including staff of the Federal Judicial Police, Victor Patino Esquivel people, led by Javier Gómez. The next day, back on the plane Amado Carrillo to Guadalajara, but not before he had asked $ 50,000 in loan would with jewelry. Mcgregor
When he left for the airport, he realized that the governor of Morelos, Jorge Carrillo Olea, was approaching the front door of the Rancho La Luz Marquis aboard a black color, with four of the state patrol. The officer got out and gave him a warm greeting and a hug to Amado Carrillo. He told him to retire immediately Mcgregor.
Shortly after he learned that the December 24, 1993, Amado Carrillo was the victim of an attack in Bali-Hai Ochoa restaurant in Mexico City, which escaped unhurt with all his people through the support it gave him the then prosecutor Pablo Chapa Bezanilla, as found by the commander Javier Gomez, head of security of Amado Carrillo.
Mcgregor was admitted to the Prison at Puente Grande, Jalisco, charged with kidnapping and conspiracy, by the landowner Eligio Ramirez. He joined in December 1994. Made friends with the drug Juan Pineda Trinidad, Jesus Hector Palma Salazar, Guero Palma, Arturo Martínez Herrera, Texas, Jose Luis Sosa Mayorga, Cabezón, Miguel Quintero Payan, Miguel Batiz, with whom he lived until he was acquitted on 31 October 1995. Paulette crime, a case of Edgar Allan Poe or a scandal like Wilma Montesi

The case of the death of the girl Paulette Farah Gebara represented, with the penalty incident, a challenge to the political intelligence, the criminal investigation, and did bring to mind the urgency of Mexico have police laboratories such as CSI or "medical detectives."
But at the same time reminded the great novels and stories of criminals and police enigmas: Gaston Leroux, Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Crhistian, Arthur Conan Doyle, George Simenon and even JP.D. James, plus some parts of Mankell and Patricia Cornwell. All of them based their characters on the ability to reason and opened a vein of the criminal investigation of intelligence.

essential data Paulette case shorten the list: a girl was reported missing from his room and his body "appears" nine days later in the same room closed. It is, therefore, a criminal enigma in a closed room. The most famous story - the wellspring of all others - is that of Poe, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue," published in 1841, because the inquiry and the solution is based on pure reasoning intellectual. In this tale Poe developed what would be his proposal for the investigation of intelligence and police methods of disdains the protocol and even inefficient.
Poe's story is simple: in newspapers published news of two gruesome murders on the fourth floor of a house. Two women were horribly murdered, one appeared embedded in the chimney draft and another in the courtyard beneath the window. But the puzzling case was that it was a closed room inside. In that story appears detective C. August Dupin, a rational mind living on the help of his friends. Without engaging in police methods and only from observation and intellectual reasoning, addition to the direct study of the crime scene, Dupin solves the mystery. Detective Dupin was invented by Poe, but only appeared in three stories. Doyle began publishing the Holmes stories a little more than forty years after Poe. In addition, there are two different mentalities: the French rogue phlegmatic Dupin and Holmes.

Dupin thinks out loud, with the narrator of the story that could be Poe himself in the role of assistant Dupin, Poe's also much that is, Poe in the mirror. From arguments of intelligence, Dupin solves the mystery of the crime in a locked room inside. Dupin's reasoning could now help in the case Paulette:
Having solved the riddle of the crimes in the Rue Morgue, Auguste Dupin joked about the commissioner had submitted a false and purely police solution, "there is no fiber in their science, all on it's head more without a body, like the paintings of the goddess Laverna, or, rather, all head and back, such as cod. However, it is a good person. We particularly appreciate a masterstroke of involvement, which owes its reputation as a man of talent. I mean his way of denying what it is and explain what is not, "quoted by some of Rousseau. Dupin's own intellectual unfolding Edgar Allan Poe in its early master of enigma and intellectual reasoning, he had reflected on the two horrific murders on the fourth floor of a house in the Rue Morgue. In his explanation to his friend - a kind of Dr. Watson of the English novel from a friend of Sherlock Holmes - Dupin's reasoning provides some clues to his statement:
- The Parisian police, so praised in its penetration is very clever but nothing more. Not applicable to method, except the moment. It takes many provisions ostentatious, but often they are ill suited to its target ... The results are often surprising, but most are achieved by simple diligence and activity. When these are insufficient, all his plans fail.
"Inspector Vidocque ... damaged his vision by holding the object too close. Maybe I could see one or two points with singular acuity, but by so doing lost the whole subject. In the background was too much depth and truth is not always within a well.
- I think that, as regards the most important knowledge is invariably superficial. The depth corresponds to the valleys where we seek, not the mountain peaks, where it is found.
- For the murders (in the Rue Morgue), proceed to an examination in person before forming an opinion.
After an examination of crime scene Dupin returned to his reflections:
- I have the impression that this mystery is considered insoluble for the very reasons that should lead us to consider easily solved, I mean it too, to the outré (something like strange, bizarre) of characteristics. The police are confounded by the apparent lack of mobility, not the murder itself, but by his atrocity.
- (The police) have fallen into the gross but common error of confounding the unusual with the abstruse (difficult to understand for intelligence). But it is precisely through these deviations from ordinary plane of things, the reason will make its way, if this is possible in the search for truth. - In investigations such as we make now should not ask both "what happened" as "what is in what happened that does not look like nothing happened before." In short, the ease with which they arrive or have arrived at the solution of this mystery is in direct proportion to its apparent insolubility in the eyes of the police.

- In general, the similarities are great obstacles in the way of those thinkers who ignore all of the theory of probabilities, that theory to which the most prominent targets of human research is in the highest examples.
- My intention is to show first that the fact (the hypothesis of how the murderer opened the window and left sealed inside) could be done, but secondly, and especially (italics Poe), insist on calling their attention to the extraordinary, almost supernatural, that can force such a thing.
- Using legal terms, you will no doubt tell me to "round out" my case not to be underestimated and so the evidence of the flexibility that is required for this feat. But the practice in court is not the reason. My ultimate goal is just the truth. And my immediate purpose is to induce the juxtaposition that unusual agility, which I mentioned in that voice so strangely acute - or rough - and uneven on whose nationality could not agree and witnesses whose accents did not distinguish no word articles.
And before the theft hypothesis of the existence of gold coins, Dupin makes seeing that gold was abandoned. Reason:
- I ask, therefore, to discard their thoughts the blundering idea of a mobile, born in the brain of the policemen in that part of the testimony that relates to money paid at the door of the house. Coincidences ten times as remarkable as this occur every hour of our lives without us to worry about them. In general, the similarities are major obstacles in the way of those thinkers who ignore all of the theory of probabilities, that theory to which the most prominent targets of human research are the highest examples. Dupin
analyzes the points that had led police to a dead output: the singular voice heard by all, that unusual agility, the murderer, the power to damage and the surprising lack of mobility "in a murder so heinous as this."
By winning the game against the detective, Dupin describes his victory with a devastating phrase: "our friend the Prefect is too cunning to be profound."
method Dupin was started by the reasoning of inexplicable events, to make them explicable, find the solution. At the beginning of his story, Poe's unnamed narrator acts as "the analytical power should not be confused with mere wit, because if the analyst is necessarily ingenious
often witty man is remarkably unable to analyze." Enigma
police literature has always been a challenge to investigative journalists. Before she died, columnist Manuel Buendía spent hours rereading the story "hand-carved coffins" by Truman Capote, based on a true story, to discover the murderer. If I remember correctly, came Buendía to the conclusion that the murderer was the police investigating the case. Capote will have to reread. The investigative powers of the journalists was based on the fact that the gateway to practical journalism was exactly the source of police information. The reporters had to spend a few months in police issues to learn research methods, practice, of course, now defunct. In those days, worked Buendía police reporter at La Prensa and competed with detectives in the investigation of certain crimes. Police
Every reporter has to be respected in the center of their activity murders in locked rooms.

The criminal conflict mediation is not new. For Paulette grew up in the media and twitter, but not to bring items to put pressure on authorities. And then came the interpretations and assumptions of the media themselves, each putting forward their concerns and proposals on the crime.

would not be the first nor the last. In his book Politics and crime, the German essayist Hans Magnus Enzensberger tells the story of Wilma Montesi case, an Italian woman who was found dead in April 1953, which determined death by accident and then involved the hypothesis of a crime to hide perverse relationship of organized crime with senior Italian politicians of the Christian Democrats. The event was described by the media as "The Case of the Century" and actually lasted almost five years under pressure from the media itself with hypothetical arguments that never passed the test of judicial proceedings. The same case was told in 1955 by the writer Gabriel García Márquez in a text of nearly sixty pages long - "The scandal of the century" - the book From Europe to America. Journalistic work 3. 1955-1969, and that also refers to the pressure of the press to avoid shelved the investigation. Enzensberger
provides a more comprehensive idea of the case. "In Crime Investigation is investigating the company itself. Hence the enormous interest in Italy is often a big "if" by workers and intellectuals, citizens and peasants, rich and poor. They all try to decipher something in it (the crime), which is its own skill.

As in all great crime that moves the country, including in the Montesi case, where the girl drowned in the "trial of the century", is Italy which itself is processed. " The deepened probing assumptions and data, but in the end, says Enzensberger, the prevailing social service in Italy (and every society that respects), "The rumor and the dossier. " Every citizen became a police inspector, detective and court investigator. In the end, the court system concluded the obvious: "The rumors are not evidence." However, the rumors became assumptions and these were followed as investigations but with specific targets to be tested. And when one of the main suspects was the son of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Indeed, the first end of the thread, when nobody was paying attention to the case of a young woman who appeared choked, the hypothesis of crime appeared in print: a cartoon with a homing pigeon that was at the peak of a women's league that are placed in the thigh. The league had been mentioned as strange track in the case, as the father of Montesi said the body of her daughter was not just the league that she used. And the other data was not difficult to interpret: in the Italian language, the word is written as pigeon and Piccioni Piccioni was just the name of the chancellor, whose son was immediately identified as the culprit of the crime.
the end, the media were caught in a case inflated by themselves. Enzensberger concludes: "The rumors are not evidence. The prosecution has to know., How was it possible that a prosecutor, as based on insufficient evidence, could bring charges against men as the son of a minister, as the chief of police in Rome? Yes to this question can be answered easily. When Piero Piccioni (son of the Chancellor) was arrested, Italy was on the brink of revolt and civil war. The public pressure was overwhelming. But how could he channeled that pressure? "At the end Piccioni was acquitted. And as the case was unresolved. Enzensberger added: "This question leads us to the truth of this process, so full of lies. The Italian people believed every word you said Anna Maria Caglio (a witness inflated by a magazine) and for no other reason but because mitómana Joan of Arc, "the girl of the century" He was accused of killing the son of a minister. Italy was ready to believe all that went against their ruling class. " Thus, "the drowned girl was only a pretext, a long-awaited pretext to settle accounts with a social order whose eventual exponent were the defendants in this process. The defendants, he added, were innocent of the charges of murder, but "they were guilty only of belonging to those who are concerned voices asking Italy to his arrest. And this guilt is not possible acquittal. " The defendants were released, Italy returned to his quiet and Wilma Montesi was only waiting for justice that has not arrived. Hence
the only possible conclusion: is it a scapegoat Paulette Mexico waiting at the stage of decomposition police, criminal and social? Is Paulette outraged society as a form of indignant with herself? Paulette Will the media phenomenon of the Chupacabras was invented at the time of the presidency of Carlos Salinas to distract social? Will the social and inquiry panic popular substitute for the lost stability? And what comes after Paulette?

The Double Life of Marcial Maciel

Maciel managed to weave a vast network of dubious complicity with political and business leaders in order to enhance their power and influence, where the hook was its mystical personality and in his speech Redemptorist purity.

Last year, Pope Benedict XVI reversed, in a move unprecedented in the history of the papacy, two internal votes-votes that make the union members of a religious order before the order itself and not The Vatican itself to individuals to the Legion of Christ, one never want to ask, seek or obtain lobbying responsibilities or senior positions in the congregation to himself or others and, second, never criticize the acts of foreign government or any officer or person of superior of the congregation by word, letter or in any other way. To be certain that one brother had broken this promise, should without delay INFORMED supervisor of the offender.
This omerta, or silence, denial and demonization external domestic critics before the strategy has been true of the Legion of Christ, even when Benedict XVI condemned in May 2006 Maciel "a reserved life of prayer and penance, renouncing any public ministry ", the Order attempted a gentle facade elusive innocence papal punishment, stating that: "In connection with the news of the conclusion of the investigation of allegations Fr Marcial Maciel, our revered founding father, the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ reported (...) Facing the accusations made against him, he asserted his innocence and, following the example of Jesus Christ, decided not to defend himself in any way (...) He, with the spirit of obedience to the Church that has always characterized him, has accepted this communiqué with faith, complete serenity and tranquility of conscience, knowing that this is a new cross that God, the Father of Mercy, has allowed him to suffer and which will thank you very much for the Legion of Christ and the Regnum Christi Movement. " This facade of St.
infallibility fell apart when the LC Ex blogs Blog, Life and American Papist alter LC uncovered on Monday February 2: "Today, Fr Scott Reilly, LC, regional director in Atlanta, Georgia, announced to those working in the territorial address of the Legion of Christ, Marcial Maciel had an affair, fathered with her at least one child and lived a double life. " The news was quickly picked up by major newspapers in the world.
The truth is that, according to the New York Times and eyewitnesses who requested anonymity, Corcuera and other senior leaders of the Order had weeks and closer to its most loyal supporters to inform them of the fact. But there is no indication that they thought it public or at least not soon.
As word of Jim Fair, his spokesman: "We have discovered some things about the life of our founder that are surprising and difficult to understand. We can confirm that there were aspects of his life inappropriate for a Catholic priest. "
To date, the appellants are versions that Maciel had at least one daughter who today would be about 22 years and during that time Maciel unknown amounts of money funneled to the family. According to the NYT, Fichter Steven's father, who left the order 14 years ago and was formerly the chief financial officer, said who informed him three years ago, at the end of the sentence of imprisonment "to the Vatican that whenever Maciel traveling outside their house in Via Aurelia in Rome, asked $ 10,000 in cash and $ 5 000 in 5 000 in the currency of the country where he was headed. Asked how these charges justified the founder, Fichter said, "The Legionaries were living in poverty, if one went out and bought a bic pen and a chocolate bar, had to report receipts. Maciel But there was never any accounting. Always effective, no electronic trail. And how was this extraordinary hero for us, never questioned; even a second. Maciel was the mythical hero who lived on a pedestal and had all the answers. When you become a Legionnaire, you read every letter he wrote, such as 15 or 16 volumes. "
Today's Order, contrary to usual practice, the denial of criticism and contempt for those who do not embrace the discourse, the open hostility or ostracism for those who renounce it and the cult of personality Maciel-accept, reluctantly but publicly-Corcuera's open letter, available on the website of the Order, is an anthology of vagueness, "that Marcial Maciel," Our Father "as they call it with reverence, had a mistress and a daughter with it. But the stale allegations of sexual abuse and addiction to dolantina-a derivative of morphine, not a word. The question is: Why now accepts the Order at least that sin if ever denied others?

Perhaps because it is difficult to prove to the founder of substance abuse or juvenile, although many indicators to the contrary: there are the innocent rumors among the female congregation about the many pains he suffered "Our Father" and that "neither the strongest drugs" could be cured, and the testimonies of the abused. But DNA tests do of paternity something provable beyond any doubt: everything points to the unusual confession of fallibility is due, rather than the desire to clean the house, the need for "better positioned face a possible lawsuit over the inheritance," as the expert in anthropology of religion AFP Elio Masferrer on Thursday, 6. A lawsuit by the estate or millionaire blackmail at the hands of someone who knows both the bulging coffers of the order and the double life of Marcial Maciel.

But bearing a daughter is the least of the sins of Maciel. For the Legion, with 800 priests in 22 countries and over 50 thousand members wrapped his arm lay Regnum Christi, has been compared to more fanatizantes religious cults and denounced more than once, but never in Mexico, "brainwashing" and breach of trust. Just last June, Edwin F. O'Brien, Archbishop of Baltimore, wanted to expel them from his diocese for "lack of transparency in their operations, but was persuaded by Vatican officials to impose rather restrictive control measures. Maciel
managed to weave a vast network of dubious complicity with political and business leaders in order to enhance their power and influence, where the hook was its mystical personality and purity in his speech Redemptorist very similar Franco's fascism to the Michoacan admired. And in Mexico, better than anywhere else, the phenomenon flourished: the Legion capitalized on the void left by the Jesuits among the ruling classes, interest in liberation theology was frowned upon by the latter, entering the powerful intimacy by providing proof of life where the economic position was not a handicap to get to heaven-the proverbial needle-eye, but a grace that allowed save and save. Unconditional surrender to the agenda of the Order was embedded in the discourse: hence the need to deify the figure of the founder, received with screams, choking and fainting, as a rock star, by a predominantly female audience: no one should doubt the sanctity of "Our Father." He himself would say in my life is Christ: "My struggle has been one way: Christ crucified. Yes, I think I could suffer for the various tests that God has allowed in my life. I do not deny this. But I have seen many men suffer senselessly, and I think that's the worst that can happen to a man. With the help of God and his grace, I was able to make sense of my struggles. And, therefore, have always considered myself blessed, very fortunate and I have tried, to the extent of my limitations, to help those men who suffer without knowing why, giving them a reason to live and suffer. " Social play barricade
speech: to be committed to the Legion's main cities of Mexico, a quick way to enter that world was through his permission: the unconditional adherence to the Order provided access, through recommendations and "groups prayer "selected, the country's most powerful families. Who was not out of conviction or fear did interest: the Legionaries face meant, until recently, ostracism in a country that spends more financial security for the contacts that talent. This explains the fierce but irrational defense-and the reluctance with which the Legion has taken the revelation of his deceit, of those who make the Order and Maciel their way of life, as seen in these lines signed by Lucrecia Rego Planas, director of catholic.net, site run by the Legion:
"Yesterday, 4 February, no one expected it, suddenly appeared as if from nowhere, a daughter of P. Maciel, founder of the Legionaries of Christ. It was great news to eight columns that ran the presses in the world (...) I can not deny that it has made me feel a little jealous, well ... I will not be published in all newspapers (maybe none) and also am a child of P. Maciel! I have no blood in my veins (that's why I'm not news), but much part of who I am (almost everything) I owe to him. Yes, Father Maciel is my father (Our Father, as we affectionately call the members of Regnum Christi) (...) my brain is full of thoughts he taught me, my words are infected by the words that I read as a child in his letters, to the extent sometimes confuse yours with mine, my spirituality is the spirituality that he taught me to develop, my prayer life is the way he taught me how to pray, my heart feels as he taught me how to feel, always putting the others before me (...) I am, without doubt, a true daughter of P. Maciel. " Who
made possible the double life of Marcial Maciel, their growth and its long impunity? Without doubt the Church, including Pope John Paul II who, knowing the sins of Maciel, let them pass in the interest of the substantial contributions in cash and souls, that the order made him at times when the devotions and falling vocations. There is also the Legion itself, efficient structure, despite the lukewarm mea culpa, still clings to its own services and fees of the founder. But they are guilty as those who chose to remain silent about the poor academic standards of its schools in order to attend the illustrious families enrolled in their classrooms, the community leaders who made own moral superiority of an order that coalesced in the arrogance of being elected, the authorities agreed to protect or overlapped to avoid clashes with their protectors, those who sold his pen, speech and convictions in exchange for recognition or money, the entrepreneurs who used their muscle to support the Legion in order to quiet the conscience, those who closed their eyes to the aggressive recruiting practices and control which, to date, border on psychological abuse. Because, yes, Maciel was a fraud, a cheat, one that left many victims in its wake. But he had accomplices. Many accomplices.
